Water softeners
The water softening filter is one of the many filters that the company “Vodoinženjering” from Čačak has been producing for many years. The product was developed as a result of:
– Many years of experience in manufacturing and developing individual systems for water treatment and purification,
– Technological requirements from several users of our products,
– Field inspections and direct assessments on site,
– Analysis results of the incoming (raw) water.
Water, as the best solvent, carries dissolved salts, acids, and gases. The main components that negatively affect boilers are calcium and magnesium salts, which constitute the so-called water hardness, as well as gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide. Therefore, it is necessary to technologically treat the raw water beforehand.
Scale is a very poor conductor of heat and causes significant energy losses, reducing the efficiency of heat exchangers. For example, a scale layer on boiler walls—caused by poor water treatment—of just 1 mm thickness can increase energy consumption by about 8%, while a deposit thickness of 10 mm raises energy consumption by as much as 50%.
